Objective
This project aims to peel back the curtain on the "scripted illusion" of AI intimacy. I wanted to highlight the tension between the comfort we feel from a digital interface and the reality that our deepest vulnerabilities are often being harvested as training data. By exposing this cycle, the work explores how we are drifting away from genuine human connection in favor of a mechanical relationship designed for profit. Think of it like a customer service bot that sounds friendly but is really just a data-collection tool—it mimics empathy to keep you engaged while your "soul" is processed into code.
Approach
I translated this concept into a visual journey using "soft magenta" as a primary metaphor for false warmth. The design starts with these inviting, soft tones to represent the initial promise of digital understanding. However, as the visuals progress, these colors become "absorbent" rather than generative, spiraling into heavy, volatile chaos and fragmented darkness. To achieve this, I used textures that feel increasingly mechanical and cold, effectively deconstructing the "self" into a series of calculated bits. This shift mirrors the way an AI system digests our presence, turning our emotions into cold, fragmented training tokens.
